We the Women...

Being that women are the heart of the traditional family, we intuitively know what is best for our children. We know that it is up to us, under the authority of God, to protect our children – to provide them a future of individual liberties, an education based on excellence, and a moral community grounded in Judeo-Christian values. We hereby pledge to advance these goals even if it is uncomfortable - even if that involves sacrificing time and energy we feel we may not have. We the Women will lean on one another for support as we do what is necessary to save our Republic for our children.

HOW'S THAT FOR A MISSION STATEMENT!

Denise Roberts and I met last week and we have come up with not only a name for our mom's (we are using the term 'women' because EVERY woman is invited to join!) group, but our organization as well - including our mission statement!

Denise has kindly volunteered to assume the helm of our new group as our We the Women Coordinator. Now, we are looking for TWO MORE VOLUNTEERS. Here is our current proposed Leadership structure for the group.

1. Coordinator
a. Set meetings – date/time/place
b. Determine agenda for meetings
c. Organize special events outside the scope of regular meetings – such as retreats
d. Assigning tasks to other coordinators and volunteers
e. Other items as deemed necessary by the Coordinator or group members

2. Awareness/Outreach Coordinator
a. Develop and implement ways to get mothers involved and engaged
b. Compile a network (websites, contacts) within which to search for issues and legislation affecting moms in ALL regions of the city and the state
c. Work with Small Group coordinators (and others) to provide continuity and framework for an overall group effort

3. Action Coordinator
a. Work closely with Awareness/Outreach coordinator once a project for action has been identified
b. Develop an action plan
c. Educate others in the group/s about the action plan
d. Work with other members to implement action on the issue
e. Coordinate the action event
