For the First Time in History, EPA Rescinds Authorized Mining Permit
Oct 17 – One day after EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson told a congressional committee she has no intention of killing coal mining, the EPA rescinded a surface mining permit that was legally issued in 2007 for Spruce No. 1 mine, which is owned by Arch Coal. The rigorous 10-year permitting process for this mine included a full environmental impact statement, and the permit was strongly supported by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the West Virginia DEP. In a statement, Arch Coal officials expressed their shock at the decision, saying that the permit was the “most carefully scrutinized and fully considered mine permit in West Virginia’s history.”

Over half of Mexican nationals polled in a recent survey by Zogby International say that amnesty would create a massive influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico. With Mexico being the major source nation for illegal immigrants, this should serve as a wake up call to those in Congress calling for amnesty. Yet, Sen. What gay activists apparently don't care about is the effect reshaping the military in their image would have on our ability to fight and defend the country, which, after all, is the purpose of a military.
