Protestors stifle climate skeptics' free speech A group of U.S. youth activists has shut down a speech by climate skeptics in Copenhagen. The video was posted by Youtube user SustainUS and features a spokesperson from Americans for Prosperity, Tim Phillips. Phillips was attempting to deliver a live webcast from Copenhagen on climate change skepticism when he was drowned out by shouts from youth activists from the United States.

The local Sheriff endorsed the students' decision. But the nine-member CSU Board of Governors overruled the decision, voting on Friday to strike down the proposal.

My Congressman went to D.C. and all I got was this stupid crab pot… Now don’t get me wrong. Learning to weatherize your home is an important skill for everyone—including African Heritage Dancers—to learn. But should it really take $935,000 stimulus dollars? Heck, I’ll change your water heater for a cool half-mil. Unfortunately, this is just one of the 50,000 projects raking in part of the $787 billion American Recovery plan. While Congress debates a stimulus sequel, Sens. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) have released a list of 100 worst abuses in the Recovery Act. (Do yourself a favor. Don’t eat before reading). When you can barely scrape together enough money for your phone bill, it should give you a warm feeling to know that somewhere in Arkansas, kids are playing with their new iPod Touches. (You shouldn’t have!) Here are some of the highlights. Apparently, a mind isn’t the only terrible thing to waste on Capitol Hill.

The purported reason for the surveillance cameras is to catch uninsured motorists on Oklahoma highways. The ALPR (automatic license plate recognition) cameras scan the license plates of passing vehicles, access a database of insured motorists, then issue a ticket to those determined to be uninsured. Code Red Rally Protests Senate Health Care Action Thousands of patriots again stormed the nation’s capitol to voice opposition to the Democrats’ proposed government health care scheme. The crowd did not match the 9-12 project’s million plus attendance at that march on Washington, but the boisterous crowd chanted “Kill the bill” and “Hands off our health care” as they were treated to rousing speeches from a host of leaders and supporters of the Tea Party movement.

Tea parties gain ground in healthcare battle South Carolina Republican Senator Jim DeMint addressed a gathering of Tea Party activists last week and credited them with blocking Democratic efforts to enact a government-run health insurance program. He also said grassroots activists have a chance to prevent passage of healthcare legislation currently being debated in the Senate.
